The Northwest Service Cooperative serves schools, cities, counties and other governmental agencies as well as non-profits (501c3) in economic regions 1 & 2. The member organizations "own" the cooperative and govern it with elected officials from public schools and government agencies.

Goals

To provide those services and programs for participating members that can best be provided on a cooperative basis.

To provide professional growth opportunities for our members in the areas which can best be provided on a cooperative level.

To provide for inter-governmental cooperation/collaboration which will foster the efficient and effective development and delivery of administrative support services and programs for our members in northwest Minnesota.
Cooperative Purchasing

Service, competitive pricing, prompt delivery. Quality products from paper solutions to fire trucks. Save money by purchasing as a NWSC group. NWSC contracts with vendors offer reduced pricing for products and services including technology.
Employee Worksite Wellness Program

A service for all members in the Minnesota Health Insurance Consortium that NWSC is a partner. Investigate the many benefits are available to insurance members.
Environmental Health & Safety

NWSC Environmental Health and Safety programs offers cities, counties and other agencies a program that is administered on-site, has all Inclusive OSHA compliance to hazardous waste, and offers every facet of a safety management program.
Health Insurance

Save on administrative costs by joining the City, County and Other Agency Health Insurance Pool available through the NWSC in partnership with the Minnesota Healthcare Consortium.
Member Recognition Program
This program recognizes members for outstanding contributions they make to their organizations. Each month member organizations can nominate one of their employees to be recognized. Nominees are featured on our Facebook page.
Membership

Cities, counties and other governmental agencies as defined in Minnesota Statute 471.59 who elect to pay the membership services fee as determined by the NWSC Board of Directors can become members. Voting privileges in the governance of the Northwest Service Cooperative are limited to full members.
